Kurt R. Jarnagin, Ph.D.
Vice President, Biological Research

Kurt Jarnagin, Ph.D., has served as Anacor's Vice President of Biological Research since May 2008. From November 1998 to September 2007, Dr. Jarnagin held various positions of increasing responsibility with Iconix Pharmaceuticals, a pharmaceutical research and development company, including Vice President of Biology and Chemogenomics and Vice President of New Technology and Translational Medicine. Dr. Jarnagin also held research leadership roles at Roche Pharmaceuticals (Palo Alto), an international pharmaceutical company from May 1994 to November 1998 and with Syntex Corporation, a specialty pharmaceutical company acquired by Roche in 1994, from June 1986 to May 1994. Dr. Jarnagin received his B.S. in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University in Raleigh and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
